For Washing Machine, Use one hundred milliliters of Nikwax Downwash Direct for one to two items. Place down items in the washing machine and run a full cycle on a low or delicate setting. For Down Proof Application, After washing, use Nikwax Down Proof (sold separately) to restore the full water repellency. Add one hundred milliliters of Nikwax Down Proof to the washing machine and run another full cycle on a low setting. For Drying, Tumble dry on a low heat setting. Add clean tennis balls to the dryer to help fluff the down and maintain loft. For Timing, Apply when the down gear has lost its water repellency or appears dirty, typically every six to twelve months.
