Roundup Tree Stump Weedkiller
The Roundup Tree Stump Weedkiller is a systemic weedkiller that kills tough weeds, trees, and saplings down to the roots. It is a specialist treatment that includes a reusable pipette for targeted application, making it ideal for difficult species like Japanese knotweed. This fifty centilitres pack kills up to sixteen tree stumps and is fast acting and effective on perennial weeds and saplings. It contains three hundred and sixty grams per litre glyphosate acid (twenty eight point four seven percent weight by weight). It is suitable for use on hard surfaces, patios, drives, tarmac, paths, and gravel areas, and can be used for renovating overgrown areas and clearing weeds before planting.
Key Product Features
This product is a Stump and Weed Killer. It has Systemic Action (kills weeds, trees, and saplings down to the roots). It is a Specialist Formula (includes a reusable pipette for targeted application). It is Highly Concentrated (kills up to sixteen tree stumps and treats up to five hundred square meters). It is effective on Tough Weeds (including Japanese knotweed). It contains Glyphosate. It is for Versatile Use (hard surfaces and clearing overgrown areas).
Directions for Use
For Freshly Cut Tree and Shrub Stumps, Cut the stem close to the ground (November–March). Apply the weedkiller to the cut surface with a paintbrush immediately. For Standing Trees, Cut angled notches into the bark (November–March). Apply two millilitres of weedkiller per ten centimeter trunk diameter with a paintbrush. For Japanese Knotweed, Use a foliar spot application with a two percent solution when flowering (August–September).
Usage and Maintenance
Apply when weeds are actively growing and have adequate leaf area. Avoid spraying before rain. Leave treated areas seven days before digging or replanting. It can clean up weedy ground before planting vegetables, flowers, bushes, and trees. Keep children and pets away until the spray has dried.
Advantages and Disadvantages
A major advantage is its highly concentrated systemic action, which is specifically designed to kill the roots of tough, woody plants like tree stumps and Japanese knotweed, preventing regrowth. The included pipette allows for precise, targeted application. A major drawback is its non selective nature, meaning it will kill any plant it contacts. Users must treat tree stumps during the dormant season (November–March) for best results.
Cautions
Keep out of reach of children and pets. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Do not contaminate ponds, drains, or waterways. Store in original container, tightly closed, away from food and drink.
