Sandtex Fungicidal Wash Clear 2.5L,
Sandtex Fungicidal Wash Clear is a ready-to-use solution formulated to remove and control mould, algae, fungi, and lichen growth on exterior surfaces. It's ideal for use before painting to ensure a clean surface and promote strong adhesion of decorative coatings.
This product is suitable for masonry, concrete, brickwork, patios, render, and decking. It dries clear and does not affect the appearance of the surface once cleaned and dried.
To use it, first remove loose debris and flaky material using a stiff (not wire) brush. Apply the wash liberally with a nylon bristle brush, ensuring full coverage over affected areas. Allow it to sit for 24 hours. After that, scrub the area again and wash down with soapy water to remove any residue. Let the surface dry completely before applying any paint or coating.
For heavy growth, a second treatment may be required.
Each litre covers around 6 to 10 square metres depending on how porous the surface is. The 2.5L pack should treat approximately 15 to 25 square metres.
It’s important to wear gloves and protective gear during use, and avoid getting it in eyes or on skin. Do not let the solution enter drains or watercourses.
